Kate Shepard has over 14 years of experience working in various clinical and non-clinical spaces helping individuals, families, couples, groups, executives, and organizations understand their patterns, navigate conflict, and build deeper connections. Her style involves humor and is aimed at helping couples realize that wherever they are, they aren’t alone.

I believe that… [expander_maker id=”1″ more=”Read more” less=”Read less”] most people genuinely want to experience passionate, supportive, loving, connected, long-lasting marriages but that over time mistakes, inadvertent injuries, conflict, and the stress of day-to-day life make it hard to show up for our partners…and hard for our partner to show up for us. My approach is to identify and solve for the interactions that pull a couple apart rather than “fix” one member of the relationship.

My work is informed by many different clinical styles including Internal Family Systems, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory and others – all with the goal of finding which tools and frameworks help a couple see where they get stuck. In that way, I work with my couples to co-create a therapeutic style that resonates for them.”[/expander_maker]
